1 c. margarine, softened
3/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla extract
red candied cherries
Preparation

Cream margarine and powdered sugar, beating well at medium speed.
Add flour, pecans and vanilla; mix until well blended. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; place on ungreased cookie sheets. Press cherry in center of cookie.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool.
