Marshmallow Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    32 large marshmallows or 3 c. small
    1/4 c. margarine or butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    5 c. Rice Krispies
Preparation
    Butter square pan (9 x 9 x 2-inch).
    Heat marshmallows and margarine together in 3 quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Stir in half of the cereal at a time until evenly coated.
    Press in pan; cool.
    Cut into about 2 x 1-inch bars.
    Makes 36 bars.
