Golden Raisin Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. seedless golden raisins
    2 1/2 c. boiling water
    2 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    3 eggs
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. broken nut meats
Preparation
    Let stand overnight or until cooled the raisins, boiling water and soda.
    Cream the sugar and shortening. Beat eggs into sugar mixture. Combine the raisin and sugar mixtures slowly.
    Add the flour, salt, baking powder, vanilla and nut meats. Bake in 2 loaf pans at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
