Congealed Spring Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon flavored gelatin
    1 3/4 c. boiling water
    2 c. cold water
    1 Tbsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 1/2 c. finely chopped carrots
    1 3/4 c. finely chopped cabbage
    1 1/2 c. finely chopped spinach
    1 tsp. finely chopped onion
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; add cold water, salt and vinegar.
    Chill and when it begins to thicken, add other ingredients; chill until firm.
    Unmold on salad greens.
    Slice and serve with mayonnaise or salad dressing.
