Scalloped Oysters - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. crumbled day old bread
1 pt. oysters
1 c. fine cracker crumbs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
6 Tbsp. cream
1/4 tsp. celery seed
Preparation

Melt butter; stir
in crumbs.
Place half of crumbs in bottom of greased oblong baking dish.
Spread with oysters.
Season with salt and pepper.
Top with
remaining crumbs.
Add cream and seasoning.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
Do
not have more than two layers of oysters.
If you do, the top layer will be overdone and the bottom ones are undone.
