Fluffy Egg Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift flour with baking powder and salt into bowl.
    In a small bowl, combine egg, shortening and milk until well combined.
    Pour all at once into flour mixture, mixing until dry ingredients are moistened.
    Drop batter by rounded tablespoonfuls into boiling stew.
    Cook uncovered for 10 minutes.
    Lower heat.
    Then cover tightly for 10 minutes more.
