Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. nuts
2 c. raisins
3 c. applesauce
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. candied green cherries
1 c. candied red cherries
3 c. plain flour
4 tsp. soda (add last)

Preparation

Cover raisins, nuts and fruit with flour to keep from sinking to bottom of pan.
Mix all ingredients together, adding soda last. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 300\u00b0 for 2 1/2 hours. Do not open oven door.
Remove from pan when cooled.
