Ingredients

3 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. water
2 c. sifted cake flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. commercial sour cream
2/3 c. butter
2/3 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. white sugar
3 eggs (unbeaten)
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Melt chocolate in water over low heat; blend.
Cool thoroughly.
Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
Mix sour cream into cooled chocolate.
Cream butter and sugars well.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Beat in vanilla.
Add flour and chocolate mixture alternately, mixing well.
