Ingredients

2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 tsp. soda
1/2 c. margarine or butter
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients with creamed shortening, margarine, egg and vanilla.
Refrigerate until cool, 2 hours or so.
Can be rolled out for cut outs or pressed with a glass bottom sprinkled with sugar.
Bake at 375\u00b0 until done.
