Irish Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. stewing lamb
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 c. sliced onion
    6 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. diced celery
    1 c. diced carrots
    1 c. cubed turnip
    1 c. cubed potato
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cut meat into small pieces; coat with flour and brown in butter in fryer.
    Add the rest of the ingredients.
    Cover; put on medium heat for 3 minutes.
    Then turn the heat to low and cook for 3 hours.
