Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. light Karo syrup
    1/2 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. raw peanuts
    1 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cook Karo syrup, water and sugar until creamy, light amber in color.
    Add raw shelled peanuts and continue cooking constantly until peanuts are parched and candy is a little more brown.
    Add butter, salt and soda.
    Beat 1 minute; pour thinly on buttered tray.
    Do not spread with a spoon.
    As it cools, stretch out into thin wafer-like pieces.
    When cool, break into pieces.
