Soft Gingerbread(50 Years Or Older) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. molasses
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    2 tsp. soda
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Cream sugar, butter and molasses until fairly smooth.
    Stir in boiling water.
    Combine dry ingredients.
    Add to molasses mixture gradually, blending well after each addition.
    Stir in eggs.
