Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. lemon extract or 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1 well beaten egg
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar well.
    Add egg and extract, mix well. Sift flour, soda and cream of tartar together.
    Mix well with the first mixture.
    Chill dough thoroughly, then form into small ball and place on slightly greased cookie sheet and press ball flat. Cook 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly brown at 350\u00b0.
