Caramels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. heavy or whipped cream
1 1/2 c. light corn syrup
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
Preparation

Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
In 4-quart saucepan with candy thermometer in place over medium heat, heat cream, sugar and syrup to boiling.
Stir frequently.
Continue cooking until 234\u00b0 or soft ball stage.
Gradually add milk; stir constantly until 246\u00b0. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
Pour into pan; cool.
Invert pan, cut and wrap.
Keep refrigerated.
