Crescent Chicken Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. softened cream cheese
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    2 c. cubed, cooked chicken
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 Tbsp. chopped chives and/or onion
    1 (8 oz.) can crescent rolls
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. bread crumbs or crushed croutons
Preparation
    Separate 1 can crescent dough into 4 rectangles.
    Press perforations to seal.
    Spoon 1/2 cup of meat mixture (all of the other ingredients, except 1 tablespoon butter and crushed croutons), into center of each rectangle.
    Pull all 4 corners of dough to top center.
    Seal all edges.
    Brush with 1 tablespoon melted butter; sprinkle with crushed croutons.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Serve with cranberry relish or cran-fruit on top or to the side.
