Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium ripe bananas
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. melted shortening
    2 beaten eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Sift together flour, salt and soda; set aside.
    Mash bananas; add lemon juice to top of mixture, then add sugar, shortening and eggs.
    Mix, then add sifted flour mixture.
    Mix well.
    Bake in greased and floured loaf pan 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    Makes 2 loaves.
