Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
    2 c. sour cream
    1 1/2 c. Cool Whip
    2 c. sugar
    3 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen coconut
Preparation
    Bake cake according to directions in 2 layers.
    Split layers in half when cooled.
    Combine sugar, sour cream and coconut (reserve a small amount of plain coconut to put on finished cake).
    Chill mixture.
    Reserve 1 cup for frosting.
    Spread remainder between layers and on top of cake.
