Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. dried apricots
    1 c. diced pitted prunes
    1 1/2 c. walnuts or pecans
    2 c. orange juice
    1 pkg. quick bread mix (nut or date)
    1 egg
Preparation
    Mix raisins, apricots, prunes, nuts and orange juice in a bowl.
    Cover and let stand several hours, stirring once or twice. Grease one large 9 x 5-inch loaf pan or 2 small 2 x 3-inch pans. Line with foil.
    Drain the fruits, reserving the liquid; add water if necessary to make 1 cup.
    In a large bowl, mix together bread mix, egg and the cup of liquid.
    Stir until all dry ingredients are completely mixed; add fruits.
    Pour into prepared pans.
    Bake in 300\u00b0 oven for 1 hour and 40 minutes for large pan; 1 hour and 20 minutes for small pans.
    Cool in pan 15 minutes.
    Remove from pan; take off foil and cool completely.
    May be stored in refrigerator 2 to 3 weeks in plastic wrap or foil.
