Refrigerator Yeast Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. milk
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    6 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 c. warm water
    5 c. flour
Preparation
    Scald milk.
    Stir in shortening and sugar.
    Let cool to lukewarm.
    Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
    In a large mixing bowl, stir together milk, yeast and 6 cups flour.
    Let stand until bubbly.
