Mrs. Thigpen'S Rocks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or oleo
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs, beaten
    3 c. flour
    1 qt. pecans, chopped
    2 pkg. dates, cut up and floured
    3/4 c. white raisins
    1 rounded tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 rounded tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 2 Tbsp. boiling water
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together, then add spices, salt and soda that was dissolved in hot water.
    Then beat and add eggs; alternate, adding flour, fruits and nuts until all has been added. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until lightly browned.
