Minestrone Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. stew meat, beef
    4 qts. water
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    1 clove garlic
    2 c. cabbage, chopped
    1 1/2 c. carrots, diced
    1 c. celery, sliced
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
    1 c. spaghetti, broken
Preparation
    Cut stew meat into 1/2 inch chunks.
    Shake in flour and brown in hot oil.
    Add water, salt, pepper, bay leaf and garlic.
    Cover; simmer 3 hours or until meat is very tender.
    Add vegetables; cover and cook another 30 minutes.
    Add spaghetti; cook 10 minutes.
    Add seasonings to taste.
    Yields 10-12 servings.
