Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. white cornmeal
    2 c. milk
    2 eggs, lightly beaten
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    butter
    salt and freshly ground black pepper
Preparation
    Position rack in center of a 425\u00b0 oven.
    Pour oil into a 2-quart souffle dish.
    Put dish in oven while preparing batter. Bring water and salt to a boil in a heavy large saucepan over medium heat.
    Gradually whisk in cornmeal and cook until thick, stirring constantly about 2 minutes.
