Scotch Short Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter (real, not margarine)
    1 c. sugar
    3 1/2 or 4 c. flour (add more if gooey)
Preparation
    Mix butter and sugar by hand.
    Gradually add flour until flour is absorbed.
    Pat out on cookie sheet (about 11 x 14-inch).
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for about 45 minutes to 1 hour until lightly browned. (Prick with fork before baking.) Cut in squares immediately after baking.
    Can be cut in shapes beforehand if you add more flour.
