Spiced Prunes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dried prunes
    1 qt. water
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    8 whole allspice
    8 whole cloves
    3 small pieces stick cinnamon
    1/4 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Soak prunes overnight in water.
    Add sugar and spices, tied in a cheesecloth bag.
    Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Add vinegar; cook 10 minutes longer or until syrup is fairly thick.
