Apple Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 oz. butter
    3 oz. demerara sugar (brown)
    3 oz. golden syrup
    1 Tbsp. black treacle (dark molasses)
    6 oz. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. ground mixed spice
    1 tsp. ground ginger
    1/4 pt. unsweetened apple puree (made from 1 medium cooking apple and 1 beaten egg)
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0F, 180\u00b0C or gas mark 4.
