Prune Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour (plain)
    1 c. cooked, chopped prunes
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla flavor
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. salad oil or melted butter
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients and sift together.
    Stir in oil, eggs, buttermilk and prunes.
    Mix well, then add nuts (if desired). Pour into ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes. While still hot in pan, add Topping.
    Cut into squares.
