White Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups sugar
    1 cup butter
    3 cups flour
    3 egg yolks
    3 Tbsp baking powder
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 cup milk
    5 egg whites, beaten stiff
    1 cup chopped walnuts, optional
Preparation
    Mix well all ingredients excluding the beaten egg whites and walnuts. Fold in the egg whites and nuts. Pour into greased and floured 9 X 13 pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50-55 minutes or until cake tests done. Frost with your favorite icing.
