Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn syrup
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    food coloring (optional)
Preparation
    Cook syrup, sugar, cream of tartar and vinegar to a soft boil stage.
    Add butter, baking soda, vanilla and color.
    Stir rapidly until very foamy.
    Pour over popcorn; form into balls (with buttered hands).
