Beer Cheese Soup(Serves 4 To 6) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/4 lb. butter
    3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 qt. chicken stock
    1 bottle beer (do not use bock)
    1 lb. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    4 strips cooked and crumbled bacon
    1/4 oz. chopped chives (fresh or frozen)
    1 bag microwave popcorn or other
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Saute onion and celery in butter until soft, but not brown. Add flour and mix well; let cool.
    Bring chicken stock and beer to a boil and add to the mixture while stirring constantly.
    (Never add 2 hots together, always 1 hot and 1 cool so they will blend.) Bring back to a boil and simmer for at least 1 hour.
