Holiday Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. chopped nuts
    1 1/3 c. brown sugar
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. flour
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour 13 x 9-inch pan. Spread nuts in the bottom of the pan.
    Mix remaining ingredients and spread over nuts.
    Arrange 1/4 pound candied cherries and 1/4 pound candied pineapple over batter.
    Press slightly into batter. Bake 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool and cut into squares.
