Chicken With Yogurt-Tomato Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (5 lb.) chicken
1 carrot
1 onion
1 stalk celery
5 Tbsp. butter
2 onions, minced
4 Tbsp. flour
2 tsp. paprika
3 ripe tomatoes, peeled, squeeze (remove seeds), chopped and drained
3 c. warm chicken broth
1 c. plain yogurt
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Poach chicken until tender in water with carrot, onion and celery.
Cool chicken.
Remove skin and bones.
Cut into chunks. Melt butter in saucepan.
Saute onions until soft.
Reduce heat. Stir in flour and paprika.
Blend until smooth.
Stir in tomatoes and simmer 5 minutes.
Add broth a little at a time, stirring constantly while simmering until a smooth, medium thick sauce results.
Season.
Add chicken to pan and simmer until heated through.
Blend in yogurt.
Serves 6.
