Cheese Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. Crisco
    1 c. (4 oz.) sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/4 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Combine flour and shortening in a medium bowl.
    Cut in shortening until mixture is coarse.
    Stir in cheese.
    Combine buttermilk, mustard and soda.
    Pour into flour mixture and stir until mixed.
    Turn onto floured board; knead 3 or 4 times.
    Roll out and cut into biscuits.
    Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Yield:
    12 biscuits.
