Amish Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. oatmeal
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1/2 c. oleo
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 2/3 c. sifted flour
6 Tbsp. oleo
4 Tbsp. milk or 1/4 c. cream
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. nut meats

Preparation

This may also be put under the broiler, but it must be closely watched as it burns easily.
This makes a very moist cake.
