Chestnut Stuffing(Pastilli) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. pastilli (dry chestnuts)
1 loaf stale Italian bread
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. celery, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
2 onions, minced
2 sticks melted butter
2 Tbsp. parsley
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
salt, pepper and basil to taste
Preparation

Soak dry chestnuts overnight.
Drain well.
Cut stale bread into crouton size pieces; mix.
Boil celery, onion and green pepper.
Beat in egg.
Add melted butter and seasonings.
Mix in bread and chestnuts.
Stir well.
Stuff into bird or spread into a greased pan.
If making pan stuffing, bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
