Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium apples, sliced and pared
    1/3 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
    1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 (17 oz.) cans sweet potatoes, drained
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. miniature marshmallows
Preparation
    Toss apples and nuts with combined brown sugar and cinnamon. Alternate layers of apple mixture and sweet potatoes in 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Dot with butter.
    Cover.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Top off with marshmallows.
    Heat until slightly brown.
