Peanut Butter Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 stick margarine
    4 eggs
    6 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. cold water
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    In a saucepan mix milk, vanilla, sugar, salt and margarine.
    Heat until margarine is melted.
    Remove from heat.
    Separate eggs; set whites aside in a grease-free bowl. Maintain them at room temperature.
    Slowly add half of the heated liquid to the egg yolks, stirring constantly.
    Pour yolks back into remainder of the heated mixture.
    Dissolve cornstarch in cold water and add to the milk/egg mixture to boiling.
    Stir constantly to prevent sticking.
    Remove from heat, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until cool.
    Add peanut butter to the cooled pudding. Mix well and pour into a cooled, baked pie crust.
