Betty Talmadge'S Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. self-rising flour
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. lukewarm water
    2 c. buttermilk
    butter, melted
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Cut in shortening.
    Add yeast and buttermilk.
    Mix well.
    Chill 1 hour.
    Roll and cut.
    Set aside 1 hour in warm place.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Brush with melted butter as biscuits start to brown.
    Continue to bake until brown.
