Red Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour milk
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. boiling water

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add unbeaten eggs one at a time.
Beat well.
Add vanilla to milk.
Sift flour, soda, salt and cocoa together.
Add dry ingredients with milk to mixture.
Pour in boiling water all at once.
Stir until mixed.
Bake in 3 layers at 350\u00b0 until well set.
Frost with favorite chocolate frosting.
