Betty Black'S Secret Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 glass wine
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    6 large eggs or 8 small ones
    4 c. plain flour
    2 rounded tsp. baking powder (add to flour before sifting)
    1 qt. pecans, chopped
    1 box raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Beat sugar and butter together.
    Beat eggs separately (whites and yellows).
    Stir them into mixture.
    Add 3 cups flour, which has been sifted only once.
    Take the remaining cup of flour and dredge nuts and raisins.
    Line bottom of the cake pan with waxed paper.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
