Reuben Sandwich - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices pumpernickel, rye or other dark bread
    1/2 lb. thinly sliced corned beef
    1 (8 oz.) can sauerkraut, well drained
    2 to 3 Tbsp. prepared Thousand Island dressing
    4 slices Swiss cheese
    2 Tbsp. margarine or butter, softened
Preparation
    Heat griddle or skillet to medium heat (340\u00b0).
    Top each of 4 slices of bread with 1/4 of the corned beef, sauerkraut, dressing and cheese.
    Cover with remaining bread slices.
    Spread margarine on outside of each sandwich.
    Place sandwiches on griddle; grill on each side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
    Makes 4 sandwiches.
