Meatball Appetizers - cooking recipe

1 lb. lean ground beef
2 c. cornflakes
1/4 c. grated parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 egg, beaten
barbecue sauce (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0. Crush cornflakes to equal 1/2 cup. Combine ground beef, cereal, cheese, garlic salt, pepper and egg. Shape one tablespoon of mixture into 1-1/4 inch balls. Place on ungreased 15 x 10 x 2 inch baking pan and bake 15 to 17 minutes, or until no longer pink. Turn meatballs halfway through cooking. Drain on paper towels. Serve with sauce (optional). Makes about 30. Can be frozen for later use.
