Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes
    1 c. water
    1 beef bouillon cube
    1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper or to taste
    Premium saltine crackers
    2 medium onions, sliced
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    2 Tbsp. diced green pepper
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Combine beef and onions in a Dutch oven or large saucepan; brown meat.
    Drain off fat.
    Add other ingredients; stir to blend. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    Remove bay leaf.
    Serve with crackers.
    Makes six 1 1/3-cup servings.
