Cookie Sheet Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. shortening
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/3 c. milk
    8 c. sliced, peeled baking apples
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1 c. cornflakes, crushed
    1 egg white, beaten
Preparation
    In bowl, combine flour and salt.
    Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Add eggs and milk.
    Stir until a dough forms.
    Chill for 20 minutes.
    Divide dough in half.
    Roll one-half to fit bottom and sides of a 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan. Arrange apples over crust.
    Combine sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and cornflakes.
    Sprinkle over apples.
    Roll out the remaining dough. Place over apples.
    Seal edges.
    Cut slits in top.
    Brush with egg white.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 350\u00b0.
    Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
