Pilgrim Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites (unbeaten)
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. heavy cream (unbeaten)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Prepare pie crust for a double crust pie.
    Break egg white with fork until frothy (DO NOT beat).
    Add cream, sugar and salt. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
    Add vanilla and nutmeg.
    Pour into pie shell; cover and bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake an additional 20 minutes.
