Peach Cottage Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/8 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 egg, unbeaten
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift first 4 ingredients.
    Add shortening, egg, milk and vanilla.
    Beat for 3 minutes.
    Pour into lightly greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
    Serve warm with spicy peach sauce.
