Tomato Chow-Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. green tomatoes
    1 large cabbage
    12 large onions
    12 sweet peppers
    8 hot peppers
    2 Tbsp. salt
    5 c. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 oz. mustard seed
    2 tsp. pickling spice
    few pieces cinnamon bark
Preparation
    Grind the first five ingredients together.
    Soak and add salt; let stand overnight.
    Drain.
