2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. baking cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
1 c. packed brown sugar
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0. Combine flour, cocoa, soda and salt in a small bowl. Set aside. Beat butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar and vanilla in a large bowl until creamy. Beat in eggs until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until cookies are puffed. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool completely. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
