"Souvlakia" - Shish Kabobs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 lb.) leg of lamb, cut in 1 1/2-inch cubes
    1 c. red wine
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1 onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    2 tsp. sugar
    2 green peppers, cut in strips
    1/2 c. oil
    salt and pepper
    small onions
    cherry tomatoes
Preparation
    Place meat cubes in a shallow dish.
    Combine marinade of wine, vinegar, onion, sugar, garlic and oil.
    Pour over meat cubes; marinate overnight.
    Remove meat from marinade and place on skewers, alternating with meat, small onions and green pepper strips.
    Broil over charcoals or in oven, basting often with marinade sauce.
    Serves 8 to 10.
