Old English Rose Potpourri - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 oz. pink rose petals
    2 oz. red rose petals
    2 oz. chamomile flowers
    1 oz. heather flowers
    2 oz. quassia chips
    2 oz. lemon grass
    1 oz. powdered orris root
    1 oz. oak moss
20 drops rose, tea rose or rose geranium oil
Preparation
In a large glass or glazed pottery bowl, gently mix together the ingredients in order given.
    Stir gently.
Place the mixture in a brown paper bag, lined with wax paper.
    Seal the top.
Put it in a dry, dark, cool place to cure, turning every two days or so with a wooden spoon.
After about two weeks, the mixture will be ready to put into a pretty bowl.
Try adding whole rose heads, in pink and red, on top for an extra flourish.
