Creole Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon
    1 head cabbage, shredded
    1 large onion, cut into rings
    1 large green pepper, cut into strips
    1 small hot pepper
    1 medium tomato, sliced
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Saute the bacon in a large saucepan or skillet.
    In single layers, place the cabbage, onion, green pepper, hot pepper and tomato over bacon.
    Pour water over vegetables and simmer cabbage mixture very slowly until cabbage is clear and tender.
